Kuntao Concepts

Kuntao which is a name given they call  (Wushu / Kung-Fu) in the Philippines and other Asian Countries other then China,  adheres to Sifu Youngs strict teaching standards, focusing on helping to improve students skill levels in a shared, relaxed, and social environment. Training includes all required skills defined by Sifu Youngs for Kuntao certification, as well as traditional, competition, and standard forms and all martial applications.


Classes are focused on Kuntao fundamentals and Forms to strengthen ones stamina. Kuntao classes begin with stretching and warm-ups followed by an hour of basic training (punching, kicking, stances, and combos) and then either forms training or combat training.

Many different kinds of traditional and modern Kuntao / Traditional training is for torso training, legs, arms and for calf training for jumping. A great number of traditional and modern Kuntao which also include bare-hand routines such as: Wing Chun, E-Mei Wushu/ Tai-chi, Bagua, Xing-yi, Kenpo and many other routine forms.

Kuntao Concepts also emphasizes self defence and Combat training. We teach many kinds of techniques in grappling, throwing, wrestling, punching, kicking, and the improvement of body power and stamina. Kuntao Concepts (Wushu / Kung-Fu) also improves Blood Pressure and health issues since the training incorporates Tai-Chi, Xing-yi, and Bagua internal styles.

Ultimately though, Kuntao is geared up for combat in a tactical essence unlike the performance and competition emphases. Kuntao is geared so that it can be used in a tactical combat environment giving the practitioner an edge in his combat arsenal.
