Chief Instructor and Founder Punong Guro/ Sifu Young
Originally from San Jose California and Grandson to the Late Supreme GM Dionisio Canete, and Great Grandson of SGM Cacoy Canete with 34 years of martial arts experience,Punong Guro/ Sifu Young is the Master Instructor of Urban Defense Tactics and The P.I.T. Punong Guro/Sifu Young began his martial arts training at the age of 4 yrs old starting with the Filipino Martial Arts Panantukan, Kuntao, Tai-chi, Majaphahit Silat, and Shaolin/Emei Kung-fu. 

As he got much older he expanded his studies in the martial arts in Jeet Kune Do, Kali / Silat, Majaphahit/Maphilindo Silat, Kuntao, Wing Chun, Wushu/Kung-fu, Aikijujitsu, Parker Kenpo, Wun Hop Kuen Do, & Muay Thai Boxing. At the age of 16, he began teaching martial arts at Tualatin Recreation Center in Beaverton Oregon where he relocated with his parents. 

Punong Guro/Sifu Young's skills were so advance and adept to the martial arts that many of his instructors and peers would say that he was truly gifted in the arts. He won numerous titles and medals in tournament events nationwide. 

Punong Guro/Sifu Young swept through the competitions and events so naturally that many schools were impressed by his skills. He eventually moved his teachings to Bally Total Fitness in Aloha Oregon opening his first school, Chinese Boxing Wushu Institute. During this time, Sifu Young would look for other means to better his martial arts for himself and his students. At the near completion of the year after graduating high school at Aloha High in 1995, Punong Guro/Sifu Young chose to embark in a new adventure to advance his skills and knowledge in his martial arts to prosper in a different direction where he would never expect it to. 

He joined the United States Military and became a US Army Special Forces Soldier (Green Beret). As a Special Forces Soldier, his skills and martial arts abilities were heightened to its full potential gaining him so much respect and recognition for his expertise, that he became one of the most sought out instructors in the Military, Federal, State, Security Agencies & Civilian Communities.

P.I.T. founder, Punong Guro/Sifu Young is a recognized expert in the fields of Hand to Hand, & Tactical Combat Security Strategies and Counter Insurgent Implementation. Punong Guro/Sifu Young has taught and been a guest instructor for many branches of other Martial Arts Schools, Military, and Federal Training Facilities for years. 

He shares his knowledge in Hand to Hand, & Tactical Combat Strategies he honed over the years as a Special Forces Green Beret Soldier, and Hand To Hand Tactical Combat Instructor. Through out the Martial Arts, Federal, and Military communities he is still being sought out by many for his superior skills and in depth knowledge he possess. 

He uses his expertise and experience to address the unique training needs of individuals looking to better themselves or gain more in depth knowledge for themselves. Punong Guro/Sifu Young has spent 35 years studying the martial arts, and plans to continue to to share his knowledge throughout his lifetime.
